Privacy policy

Breathy is a browser extension for responsible gambling. This policy is short because the reality is simple: Breathy does not collect, transmit or share any personal data.

What data is stored, and where

To work, Breathy stores the following data exclusively in your browser's storage (Chrome's chrome.storage APIs):

• Your settings: breathing pattern, session limit, daily limit and mascot preferences.
• Your gambling session times and daily statistics (to show your time today, this week and your streak).
• Any custom sites you register manually.
• The emergency pause state, if you activate it.

None of this data is ever sent to Breathy servers, because Breathy has no servers. We use no analytics tools, no tracking pixels and no third-party services.

Chrome sync

Part of your settings is stored via chrome.storage.sync. If you have Chrome sync enabled with your Google account, Google will replicate those settings across your own devices, just as it does with your bookmarks. That process is managed by Google under its own privacy policy; Breathy takes no part in it and has no access to it.

Permissions the extension requests

• storage: to save your settings and statistics locally.
• tabs: to detect when you enter or leave a casino website, in order to measure session time.
• activeTab and scripting: to show the tutorial in the active tab when you request it from the popup.
• alarms: to keep the session timer running reliably.

Breathy runs on the pages you visit solely to detect gambling websites and display its interface on them. It does not read forms, passwords, banking details or page content.

Data deletion

When you uninstall the extension, Chrome deletes all of its local data. You can also clear synced data from your Google account settings. There is nothing to request from us, because we hold nothing of yours.

Children

Breathy is not aimed at minors. Real-money online gambling is illegal for minors in most countries.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the date at the top will be updated and the changes will be published on this same page.
